Auto and Tyre Industry reports.

Incar, intra and Rietzcot for sometime have witnessed no activity on the stock exchange due to losses declared after their financial year,as a matter of fact only Reitzcot had 2 deals as at yesterday. Incar and intra were not traded. Those companies are worth about 6- 13 million(Not too sure), so decision to buy would be based on sentiments/guts and not because of their figures, they have no earnings, don't make profit, they don't release financial reports,so no figures to calculate,we can as well say they are running bankrupt.

RTBriscoe has an edge over Dunlop, cos of infrastructural issues eminent in the Nigerian economy.

Michelin had to pack their bag because of power, they had been declaring losses so had to leave, also dunlop has been declaring losses for the past 2 years, so earning per share has dropped.

In all RTbriscoe is the broker's buy, recommended for this week.

Friends

We all know or knew someone like this!!One day, when I was a freshman in high school,I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books.I thought to myself,'Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.'I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon),so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes.My heart went out to him. So,I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.As I handed him his glasses, I said, 'Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives. He looked at me and said,'Hey thanks!'

There was a big smile on his face.It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now.I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.I asked him if he wanted to play a
little football with my friends He said yes.We hung out all weekend and the more

I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him,and my friends thought the same of him.Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.I stopped him and said, 'Boy,you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!'He just laughed and handed me half the books.Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends...When we were seniors,we began to think about college.Kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke.I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a
problem. He was going to be a doctor and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class.I teased him all the time about being a nerd.He had to prepare a speech for graduation.I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak Graduation day, I saw Kyle.He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.Boy,sometimes I was jealous!Today was one of those days.I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So,I smacked him on the back and said,'Hey,big guy, you'll be great!'He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled.'Thanks,' he said.As he started his speech,he cleared his throat, and began 'Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends...I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.I am going to tell you a story.'I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met.

He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.'Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable.'I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse.God puts us all in each others lives to impact one another in some way.Look for Good in others. This is a serious thought line for me as i reflect on me and my friends. How many times have i missed the opportunity to be a blessing to a dear friend. How many times do i have the opportunity to lend a helping hand and i folded my arm.I can remember a clear example of when robbers went to my friend house and they took away all their clothes, what they had left was just what they had on their back,i could say man here take a trouser and a shirt. My excuse was that we don't wear the same size of clothes.

Also again i went to my friend school and i met him hungry and close to exams.Meanwhile my grand dad just gave me some money for my schooling again i have an excuse that i will have to show the money to my dad before i touch it.Till today my foolishness is still hunting me.Though i have had several opportunities to make corrections which i did,but every time i remember,i always feel terribly bad.

You now have two choices, you can:

1)Pick up your phone and call all your friends you have not contacted for a while.

2) Pretend as if it didn't touch your heart.

As for me,I took choice number 1.'Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.'There is no beginning or end.. Yesterday is history.Tomorrow is a mystery.Today is a gift.

Coincedence or Art of God.

15. Childhood Book: While American novelist Anne Parrish was browsing bookstores in Paris in the 1920s, she came upon a book that was one of her childhood favorites - Jack Frost and Other Stories. She picked up the old book and showed it to her husband, telling him of the book she fondly remembered as a child. Her husband took the book, opened it, and on the flyleaf found the inscription: "Anne Parrish, 209 N. Weber Street, Colorado Springs." It was Anne's very own book.

14. Poker Luck: In 1858, Robert Fallon was shot dead, an act of vengeance by those with whom he was playing poker. Fallon, they claimed, had won the $600 pot through cheating. With Fallon's seat empty and none of the other players willing to take the now unlucky $600, they found a new player to take Fallon's place and staked him with the dead man's $600. By the time the police had arrived to investigate the killing, the new player had turned the $600 into $2,200 in winnings. The police demanded the original $600 to pass on to Fallon's next of kin - only to discover that the new player turned out to be Fallon's son, who had not seen his father in seven years!

13. Twin Deaths: In 2002, Seventy-year- old twin brothers died within hours of one another after separate accidents on the same road in northern Finland. The first of the twins died when he was hit by a lorry while riding his bike in Raahe, 600 kilometres north of the capital, Helsinki. He died just 1.5km from the spot where his brother was killed. "This is simply a historic coincidence. Although the road is a busy one, accidents don't occur every day," police officer Marja-Leena Huhtala told Reuters. "It made my hair stand on end when I heard the two were brothers, and identical twins at that. It came to mind that perhaps someone from upstairs had a say in this," she said.

12. Poe Coincidence: In the 19th century, the famous horror writer, Egdar Allan Poe, wrote a book called 'The narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym'. It was about four survivors of a shipwreck who were in an open boat for many days before they decided to kill and eat the cabin boy whose name was Richard Parker. Some years later, in 1884, the yawl, Mignonette, foundered, with only four survivors, who were in an open boat for many days. Eventually the three senior members of the crew killed and ate the cabin boy. The name of the cabin boy was Richard Parker.

11. Royal Coincidence: In Monza, Italy, King Umberto I, went to a small restaurant for dinner, accompanied by his aide-de-camp, General Emilio Ponzia- Vaglia. When the owner took King Umberto's order, the King noticed that he and the restaurant owner were virtual doubles, in face and in build. Both men began discussing the striking resemblance between each other and found many more similarities.

1. Both men were born on the same day, of the same year, (March 14th, 1844).
2. Both men had been born in the same town.
3. Both men married a woman with same name, Margherita.
4. The restaurateur opened his restaurant on the same day that King Umberto was crowned King of Italy.
5. On the 29th July 1900, King Umberto was informed that the restaurateur had died that day in a mysterious shooting accident, and as he expressed his regret, an anarchist in the crowd then assassinated him.

10. Falling Baby: In 1930s Detroit, a man named Joseph Figlock was to become an amazing figure in a young (and, apparently, incredibly careless) mother's life. As Figlock was walking down the street, the mother's baby fell from a high window onto Figlock. The baby's fall was broken and Figlock and the baby were unharmed. A year later, the selfsame baby fell from the selfsame window, again falling onto Mr. Figlock as he was passing beneath. Once again, both of them survived the event.

9. Mystery Monk: In 19th century Austria, a near-famous painter named Joseph Aigner attempted suicide on several occasions. During his first attempt to hang himself at the age of 18, a mysterious Capuchin monk interrupted Aigner. And again at age 22, the very same monk prevented him from hanging himself. Eight years later, he was sentenced to the gallows for his political activities. But again, his life was saved by the intervention of the same monk. At age 68, Joseph Aigner finally succeeded in suicide, using a pistol to shoot himself. Not surprisingly, the very same Capuchin monk - a man whose name Aigner never even knew, conducted his funeral ceremony.

8. Photographic Coincidence: A German mother who photographed her infant son in 1914 left the film to be developed at a store in Strasbourg. In those days some film plates were sold individually. World War I broke out and unable to return to Strasbourg, the woman gave up the picture for lost. Two years later she bought a film plate in Frankfurt, over 100 miles away, to take a picture of her newborn daughter. When developed the film turned out to be a double exposure, with the picture of her daughter superimposed on the earlier picture of her son. Through some incredible twist of fate, her original film, never developed, had been mislabeled as unused, and had eventually been resold to her.

7. Book Find: In 1973, actor Anthony Hopkins agreed to appear in "The Girl From Petrovka", based on a novel by George Feifer. Unable to find a copy of the book anywhere in London, Hopkins was surprised to discover one lying on a bench in a train station. It turned out to be George Feifer's own annotated (personal) copy, which Feifer had lent to a friend, and which had been stolen from his friend's car.

6. Twins: The twin brothers, Jim Lewis and Jim Springer, were separated at birth, adopted by different families. Unknown to each other, both families named the boys James. Both James grew up not knowing of the other, yet both sought law-enforcement training both had abilities in mechanical drawing and carpentry, and each had married women named Linda. Both had sons, one of who was named James Alan and the other named James Allan. The twin brothers also divorced their wives and married other women - both named Betty. And they both owned dogs which they named Toy.

5. Revenge Killing: In 1883, Henry Ziegland broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who, out of distress, committed suicide. The girl's enraged brother hunted down Ziegland and shot him. Believing he had killed Ziegland, the brother then took his own life. In fact, however, Ziegland had not been killed. The bullet had only grazed his face, lodging into a tree. It was a narrow escape. Years later, Ziegland decided to cut down the same tree, which still had the bullet in it. The huge tree seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with dynamite. The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland's head, killing him.

4. Golden Scarab: From The Structure and Dynamics of the Psyche: "A young woman I was treating had, at a critical moment, a dream in which she was given a golden scarab. While she was telling me this dream I sat with my back to the closed window. Suddenly I heard a noise behind me, like a gentle tapping. I turned round and saw a flying insect knocking against the windowpane from outside. I opened the window and caught the creature in the air as it flew in. It was the nearest analogy to the golden scarab that one finds in our latitudes, a scarabaeid beetle, the common rose-chafer (Cetonia aurata) which contrary to its usual habits had evidently felt an urge to get into a dark room at this particular moment. I must admit that nothing like it ever happened to me before or since, and that the dream of the patient has remained unique in my experience." - Carl Jung

3. Taxi: In 1975, while riding a moped in Bermuda, a man was accidentally struck and killed by a taxi. One year later, this man's brother was killed in the very same way. In fact, he was riding the very same moped. And to stretch the odds even further, the very same taxi driven by the same driver - and even carrying the very same passenger struck him!

2. Hotel Discovery: In 1953, television reporter Irv Kupcinet was in London to cover the coronation of Ellizabeth II. In one of the drawers in his room at the Savoy he found some items that, by their identification, belonged to a man named Harry Hannin. Coincidentally, Harry Hannin - a basketball star with the famed Harlem Globetrotters - was a good friend of Kupcinet's. But the story has yet another twist. Just two days later, and before he could tell Hannin of his lucky discovery, Kupcinet received a letter from Hannin. In the letter, Hannin told Kucinet that while staying at the Hotel Meurice in Paris, he found in a drawer a tie - with Kupcinet's name on it.

1. Historical Coincidence: The lives of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, two of America's founders. Jefferson crafted the Declaration of Independence, showing drafts of it to Adams, who (with Benjamin Franklin) helped to edit and hone it. The Continental Congress approved the document on July 4, 1776. Surprisingly, both Jefferson and Adams died on the same day, July 4, 1826 - exactly 50 years from the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Out of your busy schedule

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"the man said angrily.
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour."
SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door."Are you asleep, son?" He asked."No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy."I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the man."It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.. Here's the Rs.50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father."Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled."Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied."Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.Do remember to share that Rs.100 worth of your time with someone you love.If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.

But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

When you love someone.

Sometimes, you could love someone but you don't get it reciprocated. The person in question might show some signs of love too but just isn't ready to commit. For what reason, you might ask.Well, for some valid reasons, sometimes invalid reasons. But whatever the case, the person has some reason or the other. How do you feel in such a case? Well, different feelings could rave through you:

  • You could feel disappointed
  • You could feel like crying (sometimes you actually do)
  • You could feel like hating the person (remember you professed to love that same person)
  • You could feel like breaking off every form of communication with the person
  • You could feel like doing something to hurt the person
  • You could feel like hating everybody in general
  • You could feel like receding into a shell or world of your own and not reach out again

You could feel a whole lot of emotions, some on the negative, some baseless. But what are you supposed to do in such situations?Well, one thing you should realize is that the choice of any commitment is always dependent on the other person; not just on you.You shouldn't react negatively towards the person.Even if your love isn't reciprocated, that doesn't mean you can't still love them.It is possible for the relationship to be broken because of the situation but since you've professed to love the person, you just have to.The difference here is that you know your love isn't being reciprocated. At least, you should have known from the beginning that there was a risk of rejection.

You could say that this is difficult especially if the person whom you are in love with is probably in a relationship with someone else. But what can you do? Nothing. You just have to let go.If the person realizes that he/she might actually be in love with you and wants to commit, it is up to the person. You can't force someone to love you.At no point in time should you try to do anything that you might consider an act of vengeance or payback because you will end up not only hurting the person, but yourself too.Live your life freely, give as much love as possible and try to get over whatever hurt you might feel. Make friends and live life generally so as to get a balance. Definitely, your matching love would surely come up one day.Or , who knows if the person you love might come to his/her senses and realize that you are the one whom he/she loves and would be willing to commit to.

This is something to think about.

5 Minutes Management Training

Lesson 1:
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. Then she opens the door, there stands Bob,the next-door neighbour. Before she says a word, Bob says,'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob,after a few seconds,Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks,'Who was that?''It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies.'Great,'the husband says,'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'
Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:
A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car,he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'
The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears,he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said,'Father, remember Psalm 129?'The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129.It said,'Go forth and seek, further up,you will find glory.'
Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job,you might miss a great opportunity.

Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.' Puff! She's gone.'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep.'I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse,an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.'Puff! He's gone.'OK, you're up,'the Genie says to the manager. The manager says,'I want those two back in the office after lunch.'

Moral of the story:
Bull Sh*t might get you to the top,but it won't keep you there..

Lesson 6
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there,a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung,he began to realize how warm he was.The dung was actually thawing him out!He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who sh*ts on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of sh*t is your friend.
(3) And when you're in deep sh*t,it's best to keep your mouth shut!
(4) Not everyone love to see you happy.

Celebrating Crooks and the Crooked:

Most Nigerians don’t celebrate their heroes. They don’t celebrate their intellectuals. They don’t celebrate their best and brightest. They don’t celebrate the honest and the hardworking. They don’t celebrate the Achebes, the Soyinkas, and the Utomis and very many others. They don’t celebrate the first-rate. Unlike a time that once was the vast majority of Nigerians no longer pay attention and deference to the learned and the philosophers amongst us.

Today, it is the Aba traders, the Mushin money-doublers, the yahoo yahoo, the Lagos dream merchants, and the political prostitutes in Abuja and all spots in between that have become our national heroes. We doff our hats to these groups of people; we prostrate before them; we kiss the ground they walk on. We hail them and encourage our children and the younger generation to look up to them.

It is as if Nigeria is bereft of honest people. Day after day, all we hear about are corrupt and thieving governors and minister and other high ranking public officials. It is as if you don’t have to be smart to be somebody. Illiteracy pays. Duplicity and mediocrity bears benefits. Lying and cheating and raping and exploitative behaviors are now perfectly acceptable. It is almost as if you don’t have to be anybody to be somebody. Striving for the best and for excellence is almost a crime.

I am thankful for the life that I knew in the Nigeria of my growing up. I thank all the men and women who had profound influence on my life, i.e. Rev George Adegboye, Chief Bola Ige, Pastor Sola Kolade, Kayode Alaka,Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Kunle Awofolajin and Deolu Akinyemi. But of course, there were others. I remember them all.

The youth of my generation let us stand up and create the Nigeria of our dream.

Why keep secret?

Secret is what you do that at least someone knows about, but you don't want some other people to know about it. Today i ask myself why do people keep secrets. There are very few things i have done in life that i really wish some do not know about, may be i can remember one or two, but eventual those i am keeping it from helped me out of it.

As a student leader back in school, i have a lot of people coming to me, to tell me stuffs about their personal life and i take pride in being able to keep their secrets.I also know some people that if you tell them anything, they will talk about it the very next day on the roof top. That reminds me of a joke about 3 pastors gisting one day. They were telling each others about their weaknesses. The first one said his weakness was that he couldn't keep his eyes and hands off the sisters in his church. The second pastor's weakness is the church money. He is always helping himself to some anytime he is in need. After saying all that, the third pastor made them realise that his own weakness is just that his mouth is like the bowel of a sick person he must vomit whatever he eats,he cannot keep a secret anything he heard he must say it.

Is keeping peoples secrets a strength or weakness? because i know that there some secret you will keep that will put you in trouble. But i do know that despite all, whatever you do and you don't want somebody to know about, don't venture into it at all, because one day the secret will be revealed and where will you be then.So please don't keep secret because once someone knows about it,it is no longer secret. How do you know that your so called secret is not what someone is sharing as a testimony. So Whatever you do it is better to fear God than to fear men.He is the all knowing where there is no man God is there.Cheers

Have a wonderful weekend.

In a lighter mood.

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What are Politics?" Dad says "Well son, let me try to explain it this way:
..1. Im the head of the family, so call me the president
..2. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
..3. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the People.
..4. The nanny, we'll consider her the Working class.
..5. And your baby brother, we'll call him the future.

"Now think about that and see if it makes sense."

So, the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper So, the little boy goes to his parents room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room.Finding the door locked, he looks in the peephole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad i think i understand the concept of politics now:The father says "Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about"The little boy replies, "The president is screwing the working class, while the government is sound asleep. The people are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit".

The Decline in Courtship:

I am beginning to think that time has left me by, otherwise, why does it appear to me as though some people I know are no longer interested in long, eventful and explorative courtship. I could remember in those days, how the older ones take pride in their relationships and dates.

Somehow, I miss the movie dates, I miss the long walks, I miss the conversations, and I definitely miss getting to know my prospective girl friend. I tell you what else I miss: I miss writing love-notes. It was fun and instructive penning some of those love letters -- expressing ones intentions and ones everlasting love and devotion.

It was just plain fun having a girl friend to introduce to friends and neighbors. The swagger of having a girl friend is almost gone. The knowing, the journey, the adventure, and the thrill of getting to know a girl is almost gone. Because this days having a girlfriend is almost the same as having a sex partner.

It is so bland and uneventful these days. The speed can be blinding. From the first date to consummation can be as little as 24-hours. And in fact the entire relationship may be over in another 72-hours or 27 weeks. How sad.

Whatever happened to courtship? What is the way out.Readers opinions are welcomed.

Please "SAY IT OUT"

Hello readers, how is the day going and i hope you are all reaching out to your loved ones, because if you don't, you may regret it one day...

I was chatting with a friend a while ago and she told me how much she regretted never telling her brother, how much she loved him, shortly before he died. The Brother had gone to her school to inform her, he will soon be a graduate. He never got back to his destination, he died in a car accident. That also reminds me of a story i read somewhere, sit back and enjoy:

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. "Really?" she heard whispered. "I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!" and, "I didn't know others liked me so much," were most of the comments. No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature. The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin. As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her.

"Were you Mark's math teacher?" he asked. She nodded: "yes." Then he said: "Mark talked about you a lot."After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher."We want to show you something," his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket "They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it."Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times.

The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him."Thank you so much for doing that," Mark's mother said. "As you can see, Mark treasured it." All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around.

Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, "I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home."

Chuck's wife said, "Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album."

"I have mine too," Marilyn said. "It's in my diary"

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. "I carry this with me at all times," Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: "I think we all saved our lists"

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again. The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.Never again miss a wonderful opportunity to do something nice and beautiful.Remember, you reap what you sow. What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own.

May Your Day Be Blessed As Special As You Are

Closer

Today, average lifespan according to a recent statistics is about 75 years.

This means that; If you are presently 20, according to the lifespan statistics you only have 660 months left. If you are 30 years old; 540 months left. If you're 40 years; 420 months remaining.

If you're presently 50 years; 300 months and if you are 60 and above, you have less than 180 months.

Now, my objective is neither to depress nor to frighten you. Rather, I only want you to understand that we do not have an unlimited number of years to live. It's a pity that most of us live our lives as if we have 5,000 years to live.

Fast forward yourself in time, visualize yourself when you'd be old, grey and on your death bed. What are those things that you are going to regret? What are those chances you'd wish you had taken? And what are the things you'd wish you had achieved?

The woman you'd wish you had asked out? The job you'd wish you had changed? The education you'd wish you had furthered.Whatever?

The only person holding you back is you. Take chances and even if you make mistakes, it's still ok. The most important thing is that you learn from them and then do better next time.

Dear all, Live your life to the fullest!

Cheers

Free or Hiding

This article has been on my mind for some weeks now,i even put the topic down and opened a note pad for it,but i did not write about it for long. I just finished a discussion with my Human Resource Manager now and the urge to write this article swelled up in me.

Recently there was a call in my office for every one to drop one bad habit and pick up a good one and true to it, we started seeing a lot of changes, ranging from use of wrong words to clubbing quitting and all that. I was so surprised at the level of change that,i was moved in my spirit to write this article.Because i asked myself are we really changing or we are hiding.

Whenever people are asked to make a change that will affect their personal life, they have 3 options,it is either they go ahead and break the habit,or they keep on as if they don't care, but the third option is the most common, which is that people will just be more careful concerning that habit wherever you are which is very dangerous.

We should not be ashamed to get help whenever we need to, most of what we keep away from people that love and are willing to help us, tend to destroy us at the end of the day.Remember 'Gehazi' yes that one in the bible,he went behind to collect a gift his master rejected,of course they didn't beg him for it,so why won't they collect it,after all the man's intention is to bless them.Because of that single act he blessed himself and his family with a wonderful leprosy.

My friends instead of hiding that stuff,Pleeeeeeeeease drop it now, it can truncate your journey.
